For the third year, Axway is proud to partner with the Grands Prix de l’Accélération Digitale, a prestigious competition organized by BFM Business that rewards the best digital transformation projects.
We sponsored one of the six categories, Business Model Transformation, which recognizes a project that involves innovation, collaboration, and exchange that has led to the expansion of its ecosystem, the creation of new services, and the transformation of its business model.
The other categories are:
– Human at the heart of the transformation
– Innovation
– Green Digital
– Industry 4.0
– Business Model Transformation
– Transformation of the Customer Relationship
In late November 2021, I took part in a preliminary session along with an exceptional jury for a day of presentations, moderated by Frédéric Simottel, Editorialist at BFM Business.
The jury, made up of members of the executive committees of major companies alongside Axway, gathered to hear the candidates pitch their projects. Finally, in a closed vote, the jury selected the winning project for each category.
We had about 15 candidates in our Business Model Transformation category, and we shortlisted 11 that we coached: La Poste, Bpifrance, Edenred, EDF, eDreams ODIGEO, InVivo, Groupe La Française Moniwan, FACOM, SNCF Voyageurs, and TotalEnergies.
We had many excellent candidates: two in particular that impressed me were lnVivo, which presented a beautiful digital and agricultural innovation project, and Moniwan, proposing a democratization of savings by disrupting the market.
But in the end it was Edenred, a services and payments platform that focused on meal vouchers, that stood out for its bold transformation, bringing on board a full ecosystem of partners in the context of the pandemic, and using its users’ data to deliver a particularly effective experience.
I was inspired to see the ambition, motivation, and performance of the candidate teams at these companies. And the intimacy developed during our coaching sessions helped extend our partnership and consulting work, an important aspect of our mission at Axway.
Finally, it was time for the final of the 3rd edition of the Digital Acceleration Awards!
After 7 months of competition, the winners of the six categories were revealed. I joined Yves Lajouanie, Rachel Serrano, Jean Paul Chevry, and Eric Horesnyi for a well-attended awards ceremony at the Ritz Paris.
Yves Lajouanie had the honor of presenting the Business Model Transformation Award to Edenred, our winner. Here’s a little more about their project from the press release:
“The health crisis has profoundly changed our relationship with consumption, effectively digitalizing many key moments of daily life. Lunch breaks, for example, have been radically transformed with the emergence of meal delivery, take-out and click & collect services.
Edenred has introduced innovative solutions for both users and restaurant owners in response to new behaviors at work. These efforts earned it the 2022 BFM Business Grand Prize for Digital Acceleration in the “Business Model Transformation” category.
With over 160 new food platforms added to the MyEdenred super app’ in less than 18 months […] fully 90% of Edenred’s solutions are now paperless. ”
During the evening, the 6 winners (1 winner per category) also presented their projects in front of 200 executives and members of leading companies, and at the end of the evening, the overall winner was selected. The Brandt Group was chosen as the best digital transformation project of 2021, for its positioning on remote troubleshooting during stay-at-home orders.
Congratulations to Edenred – which managed to transform itself without being Uberized – for winning the Business Model Transformation Award, and to the Brandt Group for winning the inter-category prize at the BFM BUSINESS Digital Acceleration Awards.
Thank you to all the candidates who participated in this competition, it was a year rich in emotion where companies have once again surpassed themselves.
