“Better Together” at home

We are all currently navigating a situation that is like nothing we have experienced before. We share this common challenge across our planet, including the fear and uncertainty that accompanies it.

It is important that we maintain our humanity and not lose touch with what is important. We need to support each other, using our individual talents to inject a little joy wherever and however we can.

Through this, it has become evident to me that people are resilient and creative. We thrive on helping others and improving our communities. We inspire others through our actions, no matter how big or small.

I have been amazed at the creative ways people are supporting their communities and sharing joy with each other. From singing to neighbors across apartment balconies in Spain to a man running a full marathon in Paris on his small balcony, to simple acts like sewing face masks to help others protect themselves, people are stepping up in great ways. It is these acts of kindness and thoughtfulness that remind us we are human.

With that said, I was lucky enough to become a member of the Grifftones and play alongside some amazing musicians. When asked to play our song virtually from our quarantines, but together, I jumped at the opportunity. It was fun to play the song and to see it come together like it did. I was astounded by how well it sounded and was glad that we could create a little fun to share with others.

When all is said and done, we will rise to this challenge and will learn from it.  We will come out of it better than ever understanding that we are #BetterTogether and part of a larger global community.

Better Together: In technology, at work and in the community.
