For the first time since 2019, Axway Summit took place in a physical location, and it was a joy for all of us to reunite in person. “What an extraordinary event it was!” says Pierre Baudin, VP of Marketing & Demand Generation EMEA at Axway.
Axway Summit 2023 was packed with the latest advancements in API, MFT, B2B, cloud, and financial accounting technologies and products, insightful business and technology speakers, learning workshops, and more.
This year’s EMEA region event was set in the social and physical heart of Brussels, Belgium, with other iterations in São Paulo, Brazil and Scottsdale, AZ, USA. Participants networked with peers, attended breakout sessions and Axway Expo, and socialized while enjoying dinner and entertainment. The events kicked off in Brussels.
“We welcomed a remarkable gathering of 140 customers and partners from 16 different countries, each bringing their unique perspectives and adding to the vibrant atmosphere,” says Baudin. “It was truly inspiring to witness such a diverse group of individuals coming together to engage with our content and learn from our experts. We even had participants traveling from as far as Singapore and India, demonstrating the global reach and impact of our community!”

Sharing success stories and use cases
Throughout Axway Summit, customers and partners were in the seat of honor, sharing how they use Axway solutions to fulfill their unique missions around the world; it was certainly a full agenda.

Here are some memorable moments of the day, to name only a few.
Rainer Metje, Vice President of IT – Application & Integration at Bosch Digital gave the keynote address at Summit EMEA, sharing insights into how Bosch Digital is driving innovation and transforming the IT landscape at Robert Bosch.
Metje highlighted the critical role of integration and the partnership between Bosch and Axway, discussing how APIs are a fundamental component of modern integration. He also shared this video as an entertaining demonstration of what this technology means for their customers.
Björn Wachholz shared DB Schenker‘s story about using cloud-based Axway B2B integration solution to ensure scalability, agility, and resiliency of their global logistics operations.
One of the world’s leading global logistics providers, DB Schenker is committed to using modern agile and resilient solutions to tackle the increasing frequency and magnitude of supply chain disruptions.
Engie, one of the major energy companies present in 70 countries worldwide, has been using the Axway Amplify API Management Platform for many years. Recently, the company decided to adopt Amplify Enterprise Marketplace.
Laurent Stephanoni explained how his team switched from an API platform to Amplify Enterprise Marketplace to centralize all corporate data and share it efficiently and securely with internal and external teams.
Daimler Truck’s Madhav Rao shared with Emmanuel Vergé of Axway how the company secured high-value file transfers while scaling their MFT operations globally, gaining agility and reliability using Axway’s MFT solution.
It was an opportunity to share and learn from each other, and many came away inspired again in their own work. One customer shared the following with us:

The Axway Excellence Awards
In addition to being a welcome return to in-person events, this year’s Axway Summit also marks our inaugural Axway Excellence Awards, celebrating achievement in digital transformation, innovation, technology, and data-driven excellence.
Awards are given in each region, and we look forward to sharing more about the inspiring projects soon!
