Cetelem innovates with Axway AMPLIFY API Management

Cetelem, a consumer credit bank that belongs to the BNP Paribas group, has innovated its digital transformation strategy by using Axway’s AMPLIFY API Management solution to streamline internal processes. The demand for technology advances and innovation in processes was the reason for the bank to implement the solution to facilitate and streamline B2B connections with its business partners.

The solution was chosen to leverage the digital experience of Cetelem professionals and ensure that demands were met faster, as much of the implementation was done in less than a month. Thus, services such as payroll-deductible loans, a product distributed in the market through integration with partners, which now have more agile and robust tools, allowing security and integrity.

According to Danillo Branco, Cetelem’s API Integration leader, the agility factor and quality of services were crucial in deciding the product as he participated in the deployment even though he was traveling outside of Brazil.

The solution has fully served us because we don’t have to change our scope and we still use a security-ready product for API tokens. With that, we can quickly connect business partners to start doing business and make a profit.

Nuno Parente, CIO of Cetelem, explained that the benefit of using APIs was not only realized internally, as the bank is accelerating business demands and allowing Cetelem to be one step ahead of innovation.

We want to deliver a self-service business, while our business areas are partnering, developers can already work on an integration. This agility is critical to the challenges that any business today has in this increasing digital world.

Marcelo Ramos, Axway’s senior vice president and general manager for Latin America, explains that as innovations emerge, demands also appear at the same speed. “We are experiencing a time when agility in processes is essential to ensure assertiveness and good results. Therefore, we invest in the development of innovative solutions that can anticipate the processes of the digital transformation of companies,” he explained.
